KAZI-NIA Baptist Church
Kazi-Nia Baptist Church was birthed out of a vision from God to Pastor Lisa to plant a church in the Desire Community, the same community she grew up in, but gravely different. A place where the residents of the Estates and the surrounding community can learn and continue to grow in their spiritual development, concentrating on the "whole person" concept, mind, body, and spirit. At KNBC we will provide resources for the community, i.e. afterschool programs in the community, tutoring, ACT prep, voting information, employment seminars, food pantry, park and recreation activities, girls and boys mentoring program, neighborhood engagement activities/volunteering options and more...
Church name: KAZI-NIA is Swahili (Bantu East Africa language).KAZI- means work, NIA-means purpose. Kingdom work is purposeful.

“Supporting you to live your best life”
I gave 34 years of my life serving in the U.S. Military, Navy, Army, and Army National Guard, Louisiana and Georgia. I am an Iraq war veteran, “Operation New Dawn”.
I earned a B.S. in Computer Science, Master in Divinity, M.Div., and ABD, Ed.D.
I came home to do my best in giving back to a community that I grew up in. The community that gave so much to me to prepare me for my past successes and “such a time as this”. I’m home ready to lead and serve that “9”, and some.
